ARTIST CREATION
After researching the star creation of successful artists such as Rihanna, Blackpink, and Somi, I am reay to create my own artist persona and identity. I have decided to incorporate an element of absence and presence in my persona, which will create a paradox for my audience.
This means that I will advertise my artist through various channels such as stores, buildings, and social media platforms, which will enable me to maintain constant contact with my fans. By doing so, I will be able to build a stronger connection with my audience.
With this approach, I aim to create a sense of exclusivity for my fans, making them feel like they are part of a select group that has access to my content and persona. I believe that this approach will help me stand out in the industry and attract a dedicated fanbase.
Moreover, by maintaining a sense of ambiguity and mystery, I can pique the interest of my audience and keep them engaged with the content of the artist. This approach will also allow me to have more control over the artist's image and persona, as she can choose to be present or absent depending on the context. I believe that this marketing technique will help me connect with my audience on a deeper level and establish Y.RENE as a successful artist in the industry.
I've created a google form for my media classmates in order to know if I'm meeting the codes and conventions of R&B music videos and if they find my idea captivating. Besides, I asked them to help me to choose the artist's name and the album's name because I believe that we all are very creative and that they could help me to come up with a final decision.
These are the results from the google form, the final artist's name is going to be Y.Rene, and the album's title is going to be named 'Expédition Chic'. 'Expédition Chic' is also my favorite option because since it's a french sentence it gives off an expensive and fancy look. 'Expédition' translated in English it means 'dispatch', dispatch has the meaning of dealing quickly and efficiently something, which it links perfectly with the concept of the album and the song.
